Well, this is actually my wife idea to become food vendor this short semester during fasting month. The current food vendor having difficulties due to his father just passed away a few weeks ago. Therefore, now I’m officially having triple dose – with 2 subjects – during this short semester!
So when UM-GSB broadcast who want to become the food vendor, then my wife jump to the bandwagon after we have a long discussion how to go about make it work.
Sourcing the raw material for our first meal – chicken rice (nasi ayam) – is quite challenging. We went to pasar selayang to buy chicken and other necessary ingredient for it. Later, we went to retail warehouse outlet to buy some other stuff like water, trolley and things like that.
Fast forward after preparing all the meal, now come to the transportation. Since I’m working, so she had to carry all the food from our house to the car – using trolley of course! I’m helping to carry all of it when she reach UM City Campur and do the setting.
The first week went quite ok but it was bad on the first day last Monday due to Global Marketing class was cancelled! Everyday we need to reorganize for the next day operation based upon the projected capacity and demand.
For us, this would be the best first-hand experience in practicing on what we have learned during MBA program hehe.. *ayat poyo ni*
